Christina Bu, Secretary General of the Norwegian Association for electric vehicles, announced that more than 100,000 electric cars is being driven in Norway.
Electric vehicles in Norway still account for only 3% of the fleet, which enabled reduction of CO2 emissions by 200,000 tons a year. The aim of the Nordic countries is to have 400,000 electric vehicles by 2020.
Regarding the topic of mobility Norway has other technologically ambitious goals. The Norwegian government recently announced plans that would allow the testing of autonomous vehicles next year. The law, which will enable autonomous driving car should be granted by the Norwegian Parliament until spring.
