Knowaste is preparing to recycle 36,000 tons of used diapers in the UK which will significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

The plant was opened in West Bromwich, the first of five that will be built over the next four years. Besides diapers, the company recycles sanitary pads and products used by people with incontinence.

The above-mentioned products will be collected from public laundry, hospitals, kindergartens, nurseries and such.

Officials of the company claim that the technology used to recycle, sterilize and separate the products in order to obtain plastics and the such. These materials can then be reused for new products, tile, plastic components, pipes and such.
