Austrian Embassy Organized a Presentation on Renewable Energy Sources

Austrian companies have invested in 1.7 billion Euros so far in B&H, and there is a possibility that these investments increase in the coming period, said yesterday at the presentation, “Austria Showcase” – “Renewable Energy”, which was held in Banja Luka, organized by the Commercial Department of the Austrian Embassy in BiH. Austrian companies have invested in 1.7 billion Euros so far in B&H, and there is a possibility that these investments increase in the coming period, said yesterday at the presentation, “Austria Showcase” – “Renewable Energy”, which was held in Banja Luka, organized by the Commercial Department of the Austrian Embassy in BiH.

for Trade at the Austrian Embassy, Peter Haslaher pointed out that the use of
renewable energy sources is critical to the RS, because it gets cheap energy,
and on the other hand develops technologies and other economic areas, as did
Austria.
 

“The long term goal is
that with the Government of the RS to better exploit the potential in the
energy field,” said Haslaher.
 


Assistant Minister of Industry,
Energy and Mining and Ljubo Glamoèiæ stated that Austria has the highest share
in consumption of renewable energy in the EU, and that at today’s presentation,
hosted by the ministry, attended by 11 companies, which are known in the wider
territory of the EU in manufacturing equipment and construction of power
plants.
 

He added that investing in
renewable energy in RS will fulfill obligations under the Treaty on European
Energy Community and the EU directives in the field of energy, or Directive
2809, the Law on Energy in the RS. 

During the production, he
added, by-laws in this area, including the regulation on the definition of
indicative targets for renewable energy.
