BH-Gas is received the first official confirmation of the approval of the loan funds amounting to 32.5 million Euros which from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development â€“ EBRD that should be used to build a gas pipeline in the Una-Sana Canton.
After agreement of the initial EBRD involvement in the financial
section of this project, BH-Gas has intensively conducted activities in collecting
the necessary documentation from the beginning of this year, with the aim of
the first loan approval package, which is 3rd of September 2010.
The first loan is 32.5 million Euros and the funds would be used
to build a 92 km high pressure pipeline in Una-Sana canton, which in addition
to the gasification of Canton used for interconnection to Croatian gas
In this respect, BH-Gas is actively cooperating with the Croatian
Plinacro company, whose shares pipeline to the border with BiH has been
included in the plan development of the gas transport system of Croatian
2010-2014, stated by BH-Gas.
After getting the first official confirmation of the approval of
loan funds, BH-Gas will trigger activities in the design of the transportation
pipeline, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2011, which would be
enabled to start of construction of the pipeline in period from 2012 â€“ 2013 which
is also in tune with the timetable for construction of Croatian stakeholders
Activities on the issue of implementation of the said project,
according to the BH-Gas, started after consent of the Parliamentary Assembly of
BiH and both the House of Representatives for acceptance of the EBRD loan for
the project of gasification of the Central Bosnia Canton.
The start of construction of the pipeline Zenica – Travnik is
expected during 2011.
