Construction of hydropower plant Vranduk – Completion of works is planned for November 2019th

In a reciprocal, near Zenica, on Saturday, July 30, began the construction of hydro power plant whose commissioning is planned for the end of 2019.

Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an agreement earlier this year with the company Strabag and Koncar – KET, worth 112.3 million KM.

In the first months of this year preparatory works were done, and on Saturday they came out on the field and machines were set and the board on which are highlighted informations about the construction of hydro power plant of 20 MW.

Hydro power plant Vranduk is the first in the system of Elektroprivreda BiH since 1990.

The construction will allow the employment of local labor force, especially in construction activity, while the period of facility provides job creation and the allocation of funds, water and the other types of compensation, multi-million revenues to the local community and the the Federation.

Elektroprivreda BiH in order to build HE Vranduk invested 1.5 million KM in realization of 34 infrastructure projects in the settlements that gravitate to this production facility.

Preliminary work on the construction of HPP Vranduk began on February 1, and the planned completion is 11 November 2019.
