Construction of intake tunnel of HPP Dabar – Investment worth 112 million KM

Hydro power plant Dabar is a historic project and the most important investment in the former Yugoslavia in the past 30 years, said President of the Republic of Serbian Milorad Dodik, who is now in Nevesinje officially commenced the construction of the water supply tunnel for this of HPP whose value is 112 million KM.

Dodik said that the decision on the construction of the HPP Dabar decision of people from the Electric Power Industry of the Republic of Serbian and Hydroelectric Power Plant on Trebisnjica (HET) who decided to embark on this project which is of great importance not only for Herzegovina but also for the entire Republic of Serbian.

– This project is a monument to generations that lead the energy sector in Serbian and I’m proud of this management – said Dodik.

Director of HET Gordan Mišeljić said that this project will be financed from its own funds, a concession for building HE Dabar was awarded to the company Hydroelectric Power Plant Dabar Trebinje which is 100% owned by the HET.

He stressed that thanks to this project, all municipalities in Eastern Herzegovina in their budgets at the annual level have a new influx of money, and just Nevesinje will annually have an additional 1,250,000 KM, and will be open new jobs.

The value of the total investment amounts to 352 million KM, and concessions for the construction of the HPP was given to the company Hydroelectric Power Plant Dabar Trebinje which is 100% owned by NG HE Trebišnjica.

For the construction of HPP Dabar and expropriation of land has so far been invested 32.8 million KM.
