Doboj hospital received solar collectors for water

Hospital Holy Apostle Doboj and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Serbian implemented the energy efficiency project "Installation of solar collectors for hot water" in the amount of approximately 92,000 KM. Fund Manager Srdjan Todorovic told reporters that this is a joint program with the participation of the Fund in the amount of 70% or about 67,000 KM and Doboj hospital with 30% or about 26,000 KM.

Todorovic explained that the project is reflected in the shift from non-renewable to renewable energy sources by placing solar collectors to obtain hot water for laundry and kitchen, which will be realized substantial financial savings in electricity costs by up to 50%, as well as reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by burning fuel oil.

Chief of service activities Hospitals Miroslav Dragicevic says that they are now reduced and simplified procedures of technological cycle of work, adding that the maintenance costs of laundry with 17,000 KM per year reduced to only 7,000 KM.

Director of the hospital Vlado Djurdjevic thanked the Government of the Republic of Serbian for this project, of which expected up to 50% savings on an annual basis.

Djurdjevic expected to pay the costs of the project in three years.

From the Doboj hospital state that the collectors are placed above the laundry room, while the completion of the kitchen is expected during the next week.
