Center for Education and Raising Awareness of Energy Efficiency – Energis in late December 2011 through the portal Energis.ba launched a survey on the perception of the situation in the field of energy efficiency in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In ten survey questions answered by 173 users of the portal. The analysis of responses derived General conclusion that last year’s increases in energy prices (electricity, gas, etc.) a significant effect on household budgets. Asked “whether and where much experience increases in energy prices “97% of respondents answered yes, and that 54% felt that to a large extent, 31% felt that but not significantly, and 12% felt that but to a small extent.

The second main conclusion is that the respondents largely unfamiliar with the basic energy efficiency measures and to daily apply in their households. Thus, 67% of respondents know exactly how much energy expended in their households and 98% of respondents take measures to reducing costs, of which 83% taking two or more reduction measures energy cane.

Two main obstacles for additional savings energy surveyed see a lump payment of heating (38.8%) and objective conditions (working hours – stay in the house, etc.) – 40.7%. Such answers lead to the conclusion that one of the basic forms of savings in monitoring the daily tariffs electricity, which in itself is not a measure of energy efficiency because it does not leads to a reduction of consumption, but only to a smaller electricity bills.
