Environmental Protection Fund FBiH received the award in Berlin after it was first in the region who launched a revolving fund to finance energy efficiency projects.
Environmental Protection Fund FBiH, headed by Director Fuad Čibukčićem, received from relevant experts in Berlin recognition as the first in the region launched a revolving fund to finance energy efficiency projects.
Čibukčić, namely, heading a delegation of the Fund on the set of “Green Energy Summer School”, organized by the UNDP, which has so far in cooperation with BiH. Institutions made a significant contribution to improving energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The event, which runs from 5 to 9 September, will gather relevant experts and trainers in this field, superbly important in the process of accession to the European Union. Therefore, the Berlin award for launching Revolving Fund has a special significance, and in the future will be the second country in the region, in this regard, see exactly the effect of the Environmental Protection Federation.
– They did their best, we can give a new product that will contribute to a significant investment in the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. Given that 31 per cent of total liabilities in the way of EU accession relate to energy efficiency and environmental protection, it is extremely important that this step has been made. In addition, the Revolving Fund is to encourage industry, and private capital to enter these projects – said the director Čibukčić.
Otherwise, the public competition for the allocation of funds based on the Revolving Fund for financing energy efficiency projects is still open. The funds, among other things, awarded with a maximum grace period of 12 months, a fixed interest rate of 2% per annum and the loan term is up to 7 years, including a grace period (for the conditions on the website of the Environmental Protection Fund FBiH).
