Sarajevo District Heating is ready for the upcoming heating season, heating could already be turned on if there would be need for it, said Ženja Ljubuškiæ the Chief of Staff Director of the Company to Sarajevo-x.com.
recalled that District Heating should be on no later than 15th October;
unless if for three consecutive days the temperature is below 12 degrees then
the heat will be turned on before the date. Otherwise, the heating system needs to be ready from 20th
September to 20th May, outside of these dates the reconstruction or
repair of facilities are taken place.
Although from first of April the gas prices have gone up, the
Sarajevo District Heating so far, according to Ljubuškiæ words, will not
increase the price of heating, since to do so requires the consent of the
“Prices are the same since December 2007. and cannot be changed without the consent of the cantonal
government, although we are looking for an increase, because we work with
non-economic prices “, said LjubuÅ¡kiæ.
Since we could not say anything more about the long “heating
plant” as “Sarajevogas” and whether that fact would give rise to
certain problems in the upcoming heating season, we sought an answer from a
spokesperson, “Sarajevogas†Adisa Salkic.
Salkiæ recalled that the Sarajevo District Heating is due about 52
million KM to “Sarajevogas” which, again, “BH Gas” owes a
little under 15 million.
Thus, there is a tendency to return the debt, but, as I have said,
that we trust in help of the cantonal government. We hope that all participants in the gas industry have found a
solution to intensify cooperation and to prevent the possibility of suspension
of gas to citizens because of the accumulated debt” said Salkic.
She recalled that the citizens will have to pay considerably more
for gas consumption this winter compared to last, which is subject to the approval
of the Federal government, even more expensive gas prices from the first of April.
“The purchase price of gas is changing, and therefore sales. I’d mentioned that in late 2008. Price of gas per cubic meter for households amounted to 1.01 KM,
that in April 2009. fell to 0.89 KM. From 1 July 2009. by the end of March this year amounted to 0.68 KM, and from 1 April cubic meters of gas will cost 0,83 km”, explained
