FIRST INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON ENERGY MANAGEMENT AT LOCAL LEVEL

The first international forum on energy management at the local level will be held from 16 – 17 September in Nis.

Forum organized by the Central
European Forum for Development – CEDEF, under the auspices of the Ministry of
Mining and Energy in cooperation with the Energy Efficiency Agency of the
Republic of Serbia and the City of Niš as a host.
 

The Forum will be attended by
experts from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia,
Croatian, BiH, Macedonia and Bulgaria, followed by a large number of
representatives of local governments, investors, embassies, businesses, banks,
chambers of commerce, expert-development organizations and the media.
 

Forum will monitor a few
specially-arranged events an exhibition of photographs on the theme of energy,
the exhibition-presentation of a series of successfully implemented energy
efficiency projects in Serbia.
 
A particularly interesting
aspect of CEDEF of energy efficiency program at the forum in Nis will be the announcing
of a competition for the best media article on the topic of energy efficiency
during 2010.
 The jury will announce the best article in January 2011. 

The Forum will be presented to
the successful practice of energy management in a bar and leaders in energy
efficiency in municipalities in Serbia. 

A unique meeting place more
than 300 officials of selected ministries and agencies, international experts, EU
experts, the EU and investment funds, financial institutions, local
governments, business leaders and media, the Forum is a platform for the
presentation of the potential production and consumption in the energy sector,
promoting good practice and economic effects of energy management in local
governments throughout Central Europe as well as the introduction of energy
management in local government.
