From Prijedor Heating Plant began production of electricity from renewable energy sources, which will this public company bring a monthly income of about 40,000 KM. Company director Ljiljana Despotović said that the commissioning of the cogeneration plant for the production of heat and electricity and was preceded by obtaining a series of permits, licenses, certificates and decision on the approval of subsidies.

– Then Heating Plant Prijedor signed a contract with Elektroprivreda RS, which has a function of the operator of the system of subsidies on electricity generation and the right on incentive. Right to incentives is a 0,2413 KM per kilowatt-hour of electricity produced – said Despotovic to the reporters in Prijedor.

She said that with the beginning of the production of electricity enhanced the production of thermal energy for 500 kilowatt hours, and that predicted production of electricity on an annual basis is 1,980,000 kilowatt hours.

– It to the heating plant monthly brings an income of about 40,000 KM and with that will mend our financial situation – added Despotovic.

According to her, the electricity produced in the Prijedor heating plant is delivered to Banja Luka Elektrokrajina.

– Now we have in operation two boilers by 10 megawatts to produce only heat and a cogeneration plant that produces 250 kilowatts of power and the 500 kilowatts of thermal energy – explained Despotovic.

– Heating Plant each month reads the production of electricity until 8 of the month and issue an invoice to Elektrokrajina, and accounts for the incentives, as well as other accounts, are paid up to 25th of the month for the previous month. Cogeneration plant operates for all 12 months and this excess heat Heating Plant will offer larger consumers for the action of water heating.
