The values of all pollutants (SO2, NO2 and PM10) are now lower than yesterday, when they were exceeded, and therefore the Operational Headquarters of the Government of HP named episode “alert” for the Canton area.
Head of sanitary chemistry at the Institute of Public Health KS Sanela Salihagić talking to Avaz.ba points out that the current situation in the HP slightly better compared to yesterday.
– When it comes to the concentration of PM10 particles, yesterday we measured over 400 micrograms per cubic meter (mg / m3), while the average for this day are between 270 and 380 mg / m3. However, I must note that the values of PM10 particles in these moments are very high. Daily tolerance values for sulfur dioxide (SO2) today, unlike the day before, will not be exceeded and will be much lower – said Salihagić.

– But only validate the state in the last 24 hours of the previous day, then from midnight to midnight, so we only have tomorrow relevant average values for this day – said Lukic.
The minister is not expected to air pollution could contract sharply after the introduction of odd and even.
– I do not know who is expecting, I personally do not. Only tomorrow can I talk about what the situation was during the day – said Lukic.
He is optimistic that in the coming days still will be a reduction in air pollution, and that the citizens of BiH capital finally will be able to breathe deeply.
– In any case, I expect a decrease levels of contamination, not only in terms of the measure odd couple, but also in terms of all the measures that are taken. However, it is very difficult to prejudge – the minister added Lukic.
