Electricity production in 2017 should exceed this year, a more ambitious plan is based on the contribution of the newly built power plant Stanari and small hydro power plants included in the system of incentives for renewable energy.
The Government has in the last session adopted a decision on the Serbian energy balance for 2017, and the document states that the next year is planned to be produced 7,606 gigawatt-hours of electricity, which is by 5.72% more than planned for this year. The largest contribution to the growth of production will give the TPP Stanari, where after a test run from January to May this year put production at full capacity.
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining said that they will power companies in 2017 to provide a regular supply of electricity consumers and achieve significant balance surplus, which will be offered on the market and according to current practice, end up in exports.
– It is planned to power plants produce 5,055 gigawatt-hours, hydroelectric 2,284, a small power plant 267 GWh. Production in small power plants, which are covered by a system of incentives, is 230 čigavat-hours – said in the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining.
For the production of electricity in thermal power plants is necessary to 6.28 million tons of coal, and in addition, is provided and the placement of 190,000 tons of coal in the commercial sale.
The director of Elektroprivreda RS Zeljko Kovacevic said that can be expected to plan the production of electricity in the next year and be transferred.
– The situation in power plants and facilities is good and we can say for sure that we will achieve the target objectives when it comes to producing electricity in 2017. If everything goes without any major problems, it is not excluded that this plan be transferred and – said Kovacevic.
This year’s plan, said Kovacevic will certainly achieved, but there is a possibility to be exceeded.
– At the moment we are not satisfied only producing electricity in Gacko, but also in the company situation gradually stabilized and it will in the next year to achieve the target objectives – said Kovacevic.
Energy balance RS is based on technical standards and criteria for the planning of production and consumption and stable operation of power facilities.
– Availability of production facilities, their operational readiness, state of the electricity market and hydrological conditions are the main elements that will affect the achievement of power balance – said in the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining.
