In the Stanari, today officially was put into operation a newly constructed power plant Stanari in an investment of 550 million euros. Power plant was put into operation by the President of the Republic of Serbia Milorad Dodik, president of EFT Vuk Hamović, President of Dongfang Electric Corporation Zo Lei, Chinese Ambassador to BiH Chen Bo and Deputy Head of Mission of Great Britain to BiH Matthew Lawson. They have, after cutting the ribbon, toured the power plant and planted the first saplings in the Friendship Park.

Thermal Power Stanari will have an annual production of 2,000,000 megawatts, and its operation is aligned with the regulations of the Republic of Serbian in the field of environmental protection and fully abide by the EU directive for installations with a large combustion plants 2001/80 / EC.

Drive power plant is designed on the basis of explored and confirmed coal reserves of 108 million tons, which is enough to operate continuously for 40 years. Existing mining Raškovac has a capacity ten-year supply of thermal power plants, and for four years should be opened and a new open pit Ostružnja.

TPP Stanari currently employs 720 workers, by year’s end that number will be increased to 800 employees, and further development is expected that the number of employees at full capacity of thermal power plants and mine is 900 Stanari, the company says.
