The State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has, for the first time, determined on Thursday the tariffs for electricity distribution services in the Brcko District.

This decision was provided to all eligible customers (all customers except households) that they can engage in a free market to choose their supplier and purchased electricity.

The Commission has determined the tariff rates for households in the District, correcting them in relation to proper allocation of costs to correct tariff elements, while keeping the average cost of electricity at the current level.

A new decision has been made on the tariffs for ancillary services, which have special significance for the reliability of the power system of B&H.

Decisions on tariffs for the Independent System Operator in B&H (ISO) and electricity transmission were not discussed at the meeting.

Members of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission failed to agree on a unified approach to determining the required annual income for Electric Power B&H and the Independent System Operator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, precisely the amount of tariffs for the services of two companies in 2012.
