Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first eight months of this year amounted to 5,833 GWh, which is less than in the same period last year when it amounted to 6,314 GWh, the data of the Federal Statistical Office says.
She failed the production in hydro power plants which this year fell by more than 500 GWh Mego last year.
Namely, in the first eight months of production of electricity from hydropower plants was 1,904 GWh compared to 2,417 GWh in the same period in 2015. Lower production in hydro power plants is partly furnished higher production of electricity in power plants.
Total gross electricity generation from thermal power plants amounted to 3,929 GWh compared to 3,897 GWh in the same period last year.
As a result of developments in production, reduced the export of electricity from the Federation. Total exports in the first eight months of 2016 amounted to 1,648 GWh to 2,068 GWh, unlike in the first eight months of 2015.
At the same time, imports of electricity increased from 493 GWh to 653 GWh.
