United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) announced the possibility that the Serbian Republic (RS) and the Federation approved 15 million US dollars grant for equipping of facilities in accordance with energy efficiency.
Previously, the departmental ministers sent a letter to the representatives of relevant institutions dealing with sustainable green development, said today the Minister of Physical Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology RS Srebrenka Golic noting that the funds could be operational in about two years.
It’s important that international institutions get the green light to go down the right path when it comes to energy efficiency – said Golic at a conference on the theme “Improving energy efficiency in the construction industry as an engine of economic development” with the participation of ministers from the region and 250 experts in this field.
Participants will discuss the legal, technical and economic aspects of energy efficiency in the construction industry with special emphasis on harmonization of national legislation with the EU legal framework.
Will be considered and the overall impact of improving energy efficiency in the economy in terms of job creation and launch of domestic production.
Minister Golic added that currently in the RS energy efficiency implemented in 31 health and educational facility.
And the Minister of Physical Planning of the Federation of BiH Josip Martic said that in this entity raised energy efficiency implemented in several buildings, particularly singled out three objects clinical centers in Sarajevo, Mostar and Tuzla.
With the World Bank, he said, it will be continued for such projects, and expressed satisfaction with the announcement that the FBiH and RS for two years should receive a new grant from UNDP.
Also stressed the importance of exchange of experience on this rally in Banja Luka on all aspects of implementing energy efficiency programs in the region, and that could be implemented and the Federation. Croatian Construction Minister in technical mandate Lawrence Kuščević said that in this country already made significant projects in energy efficiency, and have programs until 2020 and in a better position because they are EU members and have secured funding.
He also mentioned the importance of energy efficiency and the potential that it offers both in terms of saving both time- and quality of life.
Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Zoran Mihajlovic said that the country plans to do 2020.povećaju energy efficiency of the adopted legal documents for 15 to 20 percent.
